About Gerhard Arij Ludwig 'Morgenstjerne' Munthe
Munthe lived and worked in Düsseldorf, The Hague and Katwijk aan Zee. He was educated at the Academy in Düsseldorf. There he predominantly painted beachscapes and seascapes with fishermen and ‘bomschuiten’, a type of flatboats.
