About Constant Artz
Constant Artz lived and worked in Soestdijk. He was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and received advice from Hendrik Willem Mesdag. Constant Artz preferred painting seascapes with ducks and ducklings in all their activities. Willem Maris was his great role model in this regard. He also frequently gave drawing and painting lessons. Constant Artz was the son of the Hague School painter D.A.C. Artz.
