About Ger Gerrits

Ger Gerrits's love for painting and drawing was not something he inherited from just anyone. He received lessons from, among others, his father, who was a diamond cutter as well as a painter. Ger Gerrits was primarily a printmaker and therefore often created lithographs and woodcuts. His interest in composition and color gradations is also clearly visible in his non-graphic work. Ger Gerrits was a member of various artists' associations, including De Onafhankelijken and De Brug. Works by Ger Gerrits can be seen at the Frans Hals Museum and the Railway Museum.
